The PARKER pc.5850 is a 5/8-inch OD uninsulated copper refrigeration tubing coil, 50 feet in length, manufactured to ASTM B280 standards from UNS C12200 grade copper. This is the GEL29 product line from Parker, produced in the USA and intended for refrigerant line-set fabrication in HVACR systems. The tubing is compatible with high-pressure refrigerants including R-410A. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics install this tubing when running suction and liquid lines between system components. The soft-temper coil format allows field bending without dedicated tools, reducing fittings and potential leak points in the completed line set.
This tubing coil is suited for a wide range of HVACR applications including residential and light commercial unitary air conditioning systems, ductless mini-split installations, and VRF heat pump systems. The 5/8-inch OD diameter is commonly used for suction lines on smaller-tonnage unitary and mini-split equipment. The 50-foot coil length accommodates most standard residential line-set runs. It is delivered uninsulated, requiring field-applied insulation per local mechanical code requirements after the line set is routed and pressure-tested.
Designed for use in unitary air conditioning systems, ductless mini-split systems, and VRF heat pump applications requiring ASTM B280 copper refrigeration tubing with a 5/8-inch OD.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic following applicable mechanical codes. Evacuate and recover any refrigerant charge from the system before cutting or connecting tubing. Pressure-test completed line sets per manufacturer and local code requirements before charging. Apply field insulation to suction lines after routing to meet energy code requirements.
