The PARKER P3YFA98ESCN is a compressed air filter designed for inline filtration of compressed air systems. It uses a sintered polyethylene filter element rated at 5 microns to remove particulates and protect downstream equipment. The body is aluminum construction with a polypropylene bowl and an integrated bowl guard. Flow capacity is rated at 170 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) through a 1-inch NPT port, making it suitable for moderate to high-demand industrial and commercial air systems. A sight glass is included for visual bowl inspection without disassembly. This unit is part of the Parker P3Y series and is installed by HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and industrial maintenance professionals.
The P3YFA98ESCN is suited for both commercial and light industrial compressed air installations where consistent air quality is required upstream of tools, controls, actuators, or pneumatic equipment. The modular connection design supports integration with other P3Y series components such as regulators and lubricators to build a complete filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) assembly. The manual drain requires periodic service to purge accumulated condensate from the bowl. The 4.4-ounce bowl capacity and included sight glass simplify maintenance intervals in active service environments.

Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter, HVAC technician, or industrial maintenance technician. De-pressurize the compressed air line completely before installing or servicing this filter. Apply thread sealant appropriate for compressed air service on NPT connections and torque fittings per the piping system requirements. Drain the bowl manually on a regular maintenance schedule to prevent condensate carryover into downstream equipment.
