The PARKER NV109P-4 is a straight-pattern needle valve designed for precise flow control in fluid and gas systems. It features a brass body and brass needle, 1/4 inch NPTF female-to-female pipe connections, and a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. Overall length is 1.6 inches and overall height is 1.53 inches. The compact form factor makes it well suited for tight installations in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and instrumentation lines. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this type of valve.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial applications where fine throttling or shutoff of liquid or gas flow is required. The straight-body configuration simplifies in-line installation. The 1/4 inch NPTF thread size is common in instrumentation ports, gauge connections, refrigerant lines, and small-diameter utility piping. It is rated for temperatures from -45 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of operating environments.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation needle valve for 1/4 inch NPTF female pipe connections in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and instrumentation systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes and the IFGC or IPC as relevant. Depressurize and isolate the line completely before removing the existing valve or fitting. Apply thread sealant appropriate for the service media to the male threads mating to this valve. Verify that the flow direction and pressure rating are compatible with the system before returning it to service.
