The PARKER NV106C-4-2 is a straight-pattern needle valve designed for precise flow control in compressed-air, refrigeration, and fluid-handling lines. The body and needle are both brass construction, making it well suited for plumbing and HVAC service work where corrosion resistance and machinability matter. It accepts a 1/4-inch OD compression tube on one end and connects to a 1/8-inch NPTF male pipe thread on the other. Maximum working pressure is 150 psi. Overall length is 1.53 inches and overall height is 1.41 inches. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics are the typical installers for this fitting.
This valve is used in residential and light commercial applications where a technician needs a compact, inline shutoff or metering point between a small-bore tubing run and a threaded port. Common scenarios include service valve installations on refrigeration circuits, instrumentation lines, and low-pressure pneumatic controls. The compression-to-male-pipe configuration allows connection directly to 1/4-inch OD tubing without soldering, speeding up field installations or service calls.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service fitting for systems using 1/4-inch OD compression tubing and 1/8-inch NPTF threaded ports in HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any valve. NPTF threads require proper thread sealant or PTFE tape applied per the fitting manufacturer and applicable plumbing or mechanical code. Do not over-tighten the compression nut, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
