The PARKER NV104C-4-2 is an angled needle valve designed for precise flow control in compressed air, refrigeration, and fluid handling systems. It features a compression inlet connection on a 0.25-inch outside-diameter tube and a male pipe outlet threaded to 1/8-inch NPTF. The brass body and brass needle provide reliable sealing performance across a working temperature range of -45 degrees F to 250 degrees F at a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and refrigeration mechanics use this valve where precise shutoff or throttling is required in tight installations. The angled body geometry simplifies routing in space-constrained panel or equipment installations.
This valve is well-suited for residential and light commercial applications involving refrigerant circuits, pneumatic controls, water lines, and instrumentation tubing. The compression-to-male-pipe configuration is commonly installed where copper or nylon tubing transitions to a threaded pipe fitting or manifold port. It is appropriate for both new equipment builds and retrofit service work where an angled valve body reduces the need for additional elbow fittings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation needle valve for systems using 1/4-inch outside-diameter compression tubing with 1/8-inch NPTF male pipe connections in refrigeration, pneumatic, or fluid control applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, refrigeration mechanic, or qualified HVAC technician. Depressurize and isolate the system completely before removing or installing any valve. Apply thread sealant rated for the service medium to the male pipe threads, and do not overtighten the compression fitting nut. Verify that all connections are leak-free before returning the system to service.
