The PARKER NV103F-4-2 is a straight needle valve designed for precise flow control in refrigeration, HVAC, and fluid-handling systems. Built with a brass body and brass needle, it connects a 1/4 inch OD flare tube to a 1/8 inch NPTF male pipe end. The valve measures 1.35 inches overall length and 1.33 inches overall height, with a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. Its compact straight-body configuration makes it well suited for tight installations where inline flow shutoff or metering is required. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers are the primary installers for this type of valve.
This valve is appropriate for residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and pneumatic plumbing applications. The flare-to-male-pipe end configuration suits common service port and line set connections where a 1/4 inch flare fitting interfaces with a 1/8 inch NPT threaded port. It is typically installed at service access points, gauge manifold connections, or anywhere fine flow metering is needed in a low- to medium-pressure system. The rated temperature range of -45 degrees F to 250 degrees F covers most standard HVAC and refrigeration operating conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service component for HVAC, refrigeration, and fluid-system applications requiring a straight needle valve with a 1/4 inch flare to 1/8 inch NPTF male pipe connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber. Shut off system pressure and recover any refrigerant in accordance with EPA Section 608 regulations before removing or replacing the valve. Ensure NPTF threads are clean and use appropriate thread sealant compatible with the system fluid. Do not overtighten the needle stem, as brass needle seats can be damaged by excessive torque.
