The PARKER N39R20A is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter designed to remove sediment and particulate contamination from water supply lines and process fluid systems. It measures 20 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter and delivers 1-micron filtration, making it suitable for applications that require fine particulate removal. The nylon construction paired with a polypropylene plastic core provides resistance to a range of water and chemical environments. This filter is installed by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians in residential and light commercial settings where consistent water quality is required.
The N39R20A is used in whole-house sediment filtration systems, point-of-entry water treatment setups, and industrial process lines where sub-5-micron filtration is required. Its 20-inch length fits standard big-blue and equivalent large-format filter housings. The 1-micron rating is appropriate for pre-filtration ahead of reverse osmosis membranes, UV disinfection units, or other downstream treatment equipment that requires low sediment loading. The maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F makes it compatible with cold and cool water service lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard large-format string-wound cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch OD, 20-inch cartridge.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local IPC requirements and the filter housing manufacturer's instructions. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before opening the filter housing or replacing the cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F. Inspect the housing o-ring for wear at each cartridge change to prevent bypass leakage.
