The PARKER N11R20A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and fluid-handling applications where sediment and particulate removal is required. Built with a nylon string-wound media over a polypropylene core, this filter delivers 50 micron filtration across its full 20-inch length. The 2.5-inch outside diameter fits standard filter housings used in residential and light commercial water treatment systems. Rated for service up to 120 degrees F, it handles typical cold and warm water supply lines. Plumbers and water treatment technicians install this filter as a primary or secondary stage in point-of-entry or point-of-use filtration assemblies.
This filter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where coarse-to-medium sediment control is the primary requirement. Common applications include whole-house prefiltration, irrigation supply lines, well water systems, and process water lines where dirt, rust, and particulate above 50 microns must be removed before downstream components. The string-wound construction provides a graded density that captures particles throughout the depth of the media rather than just at the surface, extending service intervals compared to surface-only filter types.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard service cartridge for plumbing filter housings that accept a 2.5-inch OD by 20-inch string-wound cartridge.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician in accordance with applicable IPC and local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing to replace the cartridge. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage at each cartridge change and replace as needed to prevent leaks. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F or use this cartridge with fluids incompatible with nylon or polypropylene materials.
