The PARKER N11R10A is a string-wound plumbing cartridge filter designed to remove sediment and particulate from water supply lines. Constructed from nylon with a polypropylene plastic core, it measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 10 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings used across residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The 50 micron rating targets coarse sediment, sand, rust particles, and other suspended solids before they reach fixtures, valves, or downstream equipment. This filter is rated for use up to 120 degrees F, making it suitable for cold and warm water applications. Plumbers and water treatment technicians install this cartridge as part of point-of-entry or point-of-use filtration assemblies.
This cartridge filter is appropriate for residential and light commercial water filtration installations where coarse sediment control is required. Typical applications include whole-house pre-filtration, irrigation line protection, and pre-filter stages upstream of softeners or finer-rated membrane systems. The string-wound construction provides a gradient density that traps particles throughout the depth of the media rather than only at the surface, extending service intervals between replacements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5 inch outside diameter, 10 inch plumbing filter housings used in residential and light commercial water filtration systems.
Cartridge filter replacement is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified water treatment technicians. Shut off the water supply and relieve pressure from the housing before opening the filter canister. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or debris and replace it if damaged before reinstalling the housing cap. Follow local plumbing code requirements, including IPC guidelines, for any modifications to the supply line or housing assembly.
