The PARKER MBA5M40 is a thermally bonded meltblown polypropylene filter cartridge rated at 5 microns, measuring 40 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter. It is designed for liquid filtration systems where sediment, particulate, and dirt removal is required. The meltblown construction creates a graded-density filter structure that traps particles throughout the depth of the media rather than only at the surface. This cartridge handles flow rates up to 20 GPM and operates in liquids up to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial inline filtration applications. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the typical installers.
This cartridge is used in standard inline filter housings that accept a 40-inch by 2.5-inch cartridge format. Typical applications include process water filtration, pre-filtration for reverse osmosis systems, industrial fluid handling, and general sediment reduction in supply lines. The all-polypropylene construction makes it compatible with many aqueous process streams where chemical resistance to common water treatment agents is needed. It is well suited for both commercial and light industrial installations where consistent particulate control is required upstream of sensitive equipment or distribution points.
