The PARKER MBA5M10 is a thermally bonded meltblown filter cartridge rated at 5 microns, designed to remove sediment, particulate, and dirt from liquid systems. Constructed entirely from polypropylene, including the core, media, and outer shell, it measures 10 inches in length with an outside diameter of 2.5 inches. The meltblown construction creates a graded-density fiber matrix that traps particles throughout the depth of the media rather than just on the surface, extending service life and maintaining flow. With a maximum flow rate of 5.00 GPM and a maximum working temperature of 180 degrees F, it suits a wide range of industrial and commercial liquid filtration applications. Installation is handled by plumbing and water treatment technicians.
This cartridge fits standard 10-inch filter housings used in point-of-entry and point-of-use water treatment systems, industrial process lines, and commercial liquid filtration setups. Its 5-micron rating makes it effective as a pre-filter ahead of finer-grade stages or as a standalone sediment barrier in supply lines handling well water, municipal water, or process fluids. The all-polypropylene construction makes it compatible with a broad range of liquid media where chemical resistance and no extractables are required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 10-inch filter housings used in liquid filtration systems across residential, commercial, and light industrial applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified water treatment technicians. Shut off the supply line and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing o-ring and replace it if worn before seating the new cartridge. Follow applicable IPC and local plumbing codes for potable water system service.
