The PARKER MBA50M30 is a thermally bonded meltblown polypropylene filter cartridge rated at 50 microns. It is designed to remove sediment, particulate, and dirt from liquid systems, including water treatment, filtration skids, and process fluid lines. The cartridge measures 30 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter and supports a maximum flow rate of 15 gallons per minute. Constructed entirely of polypropylene, it is compatible with a wide range of liquids and can handle system temperatures up to 180 degrees F. Installation is straightforward and suited for licensed plumbers and fluid-system technicians working in residential, commercial, or light industrial filtration applications.
This cartridge is used in standard filter housings that accept 30-inch cartridges with a 2.5-inch outside diameter. It is well suited for point-of-entry water filtration systems, pre-filtration ahead of membrane or UV systems, and general-purpose sediment reduction in liquid process lines. The 50-micron rating targets coarser particulate and is often used as a first-stage filter upstream of finer-rated cartridges in multi-stage systems.
Designed for use with liquid filtration systems that accept 30-inch meltblown cartridges with a 2.5-inch outside diameter. Confirm housing specifications before installation.
Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Follow the housing manufacturer's torque guidelines when reassembling the sump to avoid cracking. Inspect the O-ring seal on the housing for wear or debris before reinserting the cartridge. Plumbers and filtration technicians should reference applicable local plumbing codes for potable water applications.
