The PARKER MBA1M40 is a thermally bonded meltblown polypropylene filter cartridge rated at 1 micron for high-efficiency sediment removal. At 40 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, this cartridge is built for liquid filtration systems that demand consistent particulate control. The all-polypropylene construction — core, media, and housing — makes it chemically compatible with a wide range of process fluids and eliminates fiber migration concerns associated with wound or resin-bonded media. It handles flow rates up to 20 GPM and operates at temperatures up to 180 degrees F. Installation is straightforward for plumbers, water treatment technicians, and industrial maintenance trades handling standard cartridge housings.
This cartridge is suited for residential and light commercial water treatment applications as well as industrial liquid filtration lines where fine sediment, particulate, and dirt must be removed ahead of downstream equipment. Typical installations include pre-filtration ahead of reverse osmosis systems, water softeners, chemical process lines, and other liquid-handling systems requiring sub-5-micron protection. The 40-inch length fits big-blue and comparably sized commercial cartridge housings commonly found in high-flow water treatment setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard commercial liquid filtration housings accepting 40-inch by 2.5-inch outside-diameter meltblown cartridges.
Shut off the supply line and relieve system pressure before opening the cartridge housing. Plumbers and water treatment technicians should verify housing O-ring condition and replace it if worn before seating the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing codes and the housing manufacturer's torque guidance for the sump cap. Do not exceed the rated 20 GPM flow rate or 180 degrees F operating temperature for this cartridge.
