The PARKER MBA100M40 is a thermally bonded meltblown polypropylene filter cartridge rated at 100 microns. This cartridge is suited for residential, commercial, and light industrial liquid filtration systems that accept standard 40-inch filter housings with a 2.5-inch outside diameter. It targets sediment, particulate, and dirt in water and compatible process liquids. The 100-micron rating makes it appropriate as a pre-filter stage upstream of finer filtration elements, helping extend the service life of downstream cartridges and equipment. Shut off supply pressure and depressurize the filter housing fully before removing the spent cartridge. Inspect the housing o-ring and replace it if cracked or deformed before reinstalling the housing sump. Hand-tighten the housing sump only — do not use pipe wrenches or excessive force on plastic housings. Verify that the operating temperature and pressure of the system do not exceed the cartridge and housing ratings before returning the system to service.
