The cartridge measures 30 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, making it compatible with standard commercial and industrial filter housings. Built entirely from polypropylene, including the core, media, and outer construction, it suits applications where chemical compatibility with plastics is required. The unit supports a maximum flow rate of 15.00 GPM and tolerates liquid temperatures up to 180 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, filtration technicians, and industrial maintenance trades are the typical installers.
This cartridge is applied in liquid filtration systems where broad-spectrum sediment removal at a 100-micron threshold is sufficient. Common uses include pre-filtration in water treatment systems, light industrial process lines, irrigation supply protection, and point-of-entry sediment reduction. The polypropylene construction makes it suitable for mildly aggressive liquid service where metal or cellulose media would degrade. Shut off the liquid supply and relieve system pressure fully before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring or gasket for wear and replace it if needed before seating the new cartridge. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and the housing manufacturer instructions for torque and seating procedures. Dispose of the spent cartridge in accordance with local regulations, particularly if it has contacted process chemicals.
