The PARKER MBA0.5M40 is a thermally bonded meltblown polypropylene filter cartridge rated at 0.5 micron, designed for high-efficiency sediment and particulate removal in liquid filtration systems. At 40 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, this cartridge fits standard industrial and commercial filter housings. The all-polypropylene construction — core, media, and outer shell — makes it compatible with a wide range of process liquids and resistant to many common chemicals. It handles flow rates up to 20 GPM and operating temperatures up to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding water treatment, process filtration, and plumbing protection applications. Installation is typically performed by plumbers, water treatment technicians, or facilities maintenance personnel.
This cartridge is used in industrial process lines, commercial water treatment systems, and high-flow liquid filtration setups where fine sediment, particulate, and dirt removal is required at the 0.5 micron level. Its thermally bonded meltblown construction means no binders or adhesives are introduced into the filtrate, which is important in food-adjacent, pharmaceutical, or potable water applications. The 40-inch length is suited to high-capacity housings where extended service intervals are needed to reduce maintenance frequency.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 40-inch large-format liquid filter housings used in commercial and industrial water treatment and process filtration applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or water treatment technician. Shut off the liquid supply and relieve all system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage and replace if necessary before seating the new cartridge. Follow all applicable local plumbing codes and manufacturer housing specifications when servicing the filter.
