The PARKER M19R10A is a string-wound polypropylene cotton cartridge filter designed for plumbing filtration applications. It measures 10 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter and delivers 10-micron filtration to remove sediment, dirt, rust, and particulate from water lines. The polypropylene cotton construction meets FDA material grade standards, making it appropriate for potable water systems. A polypropylene plastic core provides structural support under normal operating pressures. Plumbers and water treatment technicians install this filter in standard housings as part of residential or light commercial point-of-entry or point-of-use filtration systems.
This cartridge is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where sediment reduction at 10 microns is required. Typical applications include whole-house pre-filtration, inline protection ahead of water heaters, softeners, and reverse osmosis systems, and general supply line particulate removal. The string-wound design creates a graded density that captures particles throughout the depth of the media rather than only at the surface, extending service intervals between changeouts.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 10-inch filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter string-wound cartridge in plumbing filtration systems.
A licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician should install or replace this cartridge in accordance with local plumbing codes and the housing manufacturer instructions. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring and replace it if worn or cracked before reinstalling the sump. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature or pressure for the housing in which this cartridge is installed.
