The PARKER L209P-12-8 is a brass pipe bushing designed to reduce a 3/4 inch male MNPTF thread down to a 1/2 inch female FNPTF thread. It is used to connect or transition between two different pipe thread sizes within a fluid system. Rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure and suitable for temperatures from -65 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this bushing handles demanding plumbing and industrial piping applications. Constructed from lead-free brass, it meets SAE J530 and SAE J531 standards. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians commonly install this fitting during system assembly or repair.
This bushing is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating lines, compressed air distribution, and similar fluid-handling installations. Its MNPTF x FNPTF configuration makes it appropriate for use in potable water systems. The lead-free brass construction satisfies requirements for drinking water contact applications. It is sold individually and is a direct fit wherever a 3/4 inch male to 1/2 inch female NPT threaded reduction is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for any system requiring a 3/4 inch male MNPTF to 1/2 inch female FNPTF threaded pipe bushing, including potable water plumbing and fluid distribution systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off system pressure and drain the line before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten, as brass fittings can crack if excessive torque is applied without reference to manufacturer specifications.
