The PARKER KP81296 is a male SAE 37-degree JIC rigid straight hydraulic hose fitting manufactured from steel. It is designed to create a leak-resistant threaded connection between a hydraulic hose and a mating JIC female port. The fitting accepts hoses with a 0.75-inch inside diameter (hose size 12) and threads onto a 1-3/16-12 UNF port. With an overall length of 3.11 inches, it is sized for compact inline termination. Licensed hydraulic technicians and fluid power mechanics install this fitting type during hose assembly and system fabrication on mobile and industrial hydraulic circuits.
This fitting is suited for medium- and high-pressure hydraulic system assemblies in both mobile equipment and stationary industrial applications. The straight configuration simplifies routing where a direct inline connection is required. It is compatible with a wide range of Parker hose series, making it a practical stocking fitting for shops that service multiple hydraulic system types. Installation in tight quarters is straightforward given the standard JIC thread geometry.
Designed for use with Parker 187 TC, 187 ST, 302, 304, 387 TC, 387 ST, 422, 424, 426, 436, 471TC, 471ST, 472TC, 482TC, 482ST, 487 TC, 487 ST, 722 TC, 722 ST, 787 TC, 787 ST, 797 TC, 797 ST, and 881 hoses.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or fluid power mechanic familiar with JIC threaded connections. Depressurize and bleed the hydraulic system completely before disconnecting or installing any fittings. Inspect the JIC cone seat and mating female threads for damage or contamination before assembly. Follow the hose and fitting manufacturer assembly instructions for proper thread engagement; do not over-torque, as JIC fittings rely on metal-to-metal cone seating rather than thread crush.
