The PARKER KP80600 is a steel flared tube cap designed to seal 5/16-inch OD tubing with a 37-degree flare angle end connection. It provides a pressure-tight closure on open flare fittings in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-line systems. The cap is rated for a maximum working pressure of 6000 psi and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F (260 degrees C), making it suited for demanding industrial and mechanical service environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-power technicians install this type of cap when capping off unused or temporarily disconnected tube ends during system maintenance or new construction.
This cap fits standard 37-degree flare tube ends with a 5/16-inch outside diameter. It is appropriate for use in hydraulic lines, refrigeration tubing, and other high-pressure fluid or gas distribution systems that require a secure, leak-free seal at an open port. The KP80600 conforms to ISO 8434-2, SAE J514, and SAE 070112A standards, making it compatible with fittings built to those specifications. It is sold in packages of 4 units.
Designed for use with 5/16-inch OD tubing systems using 37-degree flare end connections conforming to ISO 8434-2 and SAE J514 specifications.
Installation and removal should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with hydraulic or fluid-line fittings. De-pressurize and isolate the line completely before installing or removing any tube cap. Hand-tighten first, then use an appropriate open-end or flare-nut wrench to achieve a secure, leak-free seat without over-torquing the fitting. Inspect the flare seat and cap threads for damage before installation.
