The PARKER HN4S-6CY is a coalescing compressed air filter designed to remove oil aerosols, water aerosols, and fine particulates from compressed air systems. Rated at a 0.01 micron filtration level, it delivers clean, dry air downstream of compressors, dryers, and air treatment trains. The filter flows up to 100 SCFM through a 1 inch NPT port, making it well-suited for mid-sized industrial and commercial pneumatic systems. The aluminum bowl construction keeps weight low while standing up to typical shop-air pressures. An automatic drain removes collected liquid without manual intervention, reducing maintenance time on active systems. Licensed mechanical contractors and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This filter is used in compressed air distribution systems where oil carryover or moisture contamination would damage downstream pneumatic tools, valves, actuators, or process equipment. Typical install positions include the main air header, point-of-use drops, and supply lines feeding spray finishing, instrumentation, or food-grade air applications. The Series H housing is a recognized platform in industrial air treatment. At 14.14 inches tall and 4.65 inches wide, the HN4S-6CY fits in standard filter station enclosures and inline filter brackets without modification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation coalescing filter for industrial and commercial compressed air systems using 1 inch NPT piping within the 100 SCFM flow range.
Installation is typically performed by licensed pipefitters, industrial mechanics, or qualified maintenance technicians. Depressurize and lock out the compressed air system completely before removing any existing filter or fitting new connections. Apply thread sealant appropriate for compressed air service to all NPT joints and torque fittings per the fitting manufacturer's specification. Orient the bowl downward as designed so the automatic drain can function correctly, and verify drain operation after returning the system to pressure.
