The PARKER H2C is a male NPT pneumatic hose coupling connector designed for industrial compressed air and pneumatic tool applications. Built from steel with a zinc chromate finish, this threaded connector features a 1/4-18 MNPT thread and a 1/4 inch body diameter. It is rated to a maximum working pressure of 300 psi and measures 1.72 inches in overall length. Licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial mechanics install this type of fitting when connecting pneumatic hoses, tools, or air lines to systems using the Industrial Interchange coupling standard.
This connector is suited for light commercial and industrial pneumatic systems where Industrial Interchange compatibility is required. Typical applications include connecting pneumatic hand tools, air compressor lines, and shop air distribution systems. The MNPT thread allows direct connection to standard NPT-threaded ports and fittings. The zinc chromate finish provides corrosion resistance in general shop and light outdoor environments. Its compact hex profile of 0.56 inches allows installation in tight spaces with a standard open-end or adjustable wrench.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector for Industrial Interchange pneumatic coupling systems using 1/4-18 MNPT threaded connections.
Installation is performed by qualified mechanics or trade professionals working on compressed air systems. Depressurize and bleed all air pressure from the system before removing or installing any pneumatic fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the MNPT threads per the applicable plumbing or pneumatic system code, and tighten with an appropriately sized open-end or adjustable wrench to a snug, leak-free fit without overtightening. Verify system pressure does not exceed the 300 psi working pressure rating before returning the system to service.
