In its unactuated state, the valve defaults to a center exhaust open position, allowing downstream pressure to vent when the coil is de-energized. The valve body is constructed from aluminum for a favorable strength-to-weight ratio, and the nitrile seals provide reliable performance across a wide operating temperature range of 5 degrees F to 120 degrees F.
