The PARKER GBMT-446 is a compression-style male branch tee fitting designed for 1/4-inch outside diameter tubing. It provides a three-way branch connection with a male threaded outlet, allowing a single supply line to split or be teed off in a compact, leak-resistant assembly. The fitting is constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), two fluoropolymer materials chosen for their broad chemical resistance and suitability in high-purity or corrosive fluid applications. The plastic compression grip secures the tubing without metal ferrules, making it well-suited for chemically sensitive plumbing and instrumentation lines. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and chemical process mechanics are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in applications where fluoropolymer-grade material compatibility is required, such as chemical dosing systems, high-purity water lines, laboratory plumbing, and semiconductor process piping. The male branch tee configuration supports inline branch takeoffs without cutting into existing hard-pipe runs. It is appropriate for both residential and light commercial specialty fluid systems where PFA or PTFE contact surfaces are specified by the system designer or required by the fluid media being handled.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4-inch outside diameter fluoropolymer or compatible plastic tubing in chemical process, laboratory, and high-purity fluid plumbing systems.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or instrumentation technician. Shut off and depressurize the fluid system completely before disassembling any tubing connection. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before seating in the compression fitting to achieve a leak-free connection. Follow applicable plumbing codes and the system designer's material compatibility specifications when installing fluoropolymer fittings in chemical or high-purity service.
