The PARKER GAFS-68 is a compression tube female straight adapter designed for use in fluid handling and instrumentation tubing systems. It accepts a 3/8 inch tube OD and connects via a plug-in stem interface. The body and wetted components are constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), materials chosen for their outstanding chemical resistance and ability to handle aggressive process media. A plastic grip type collet provides secure tube retention under compression. This adapter is installed by plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and industrial piping trades working with chemically sensitive fluid circuits.
This fitting is suited for laboratory, semiconductor, chemical processing, and industrial fluid transfer applications where fluoropolymer wetted materials are required. The female straight configuration allows inline connection between tubing runs and threaded ports or mating fittings. The compression design eliminates the need for solvent bonding or heat fusion, making it practical for field assembly and service work on active process lines or analytical instrument tubing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for fluoropolymer compression tubing systems accepting 3/8 inch OD tubing.
Installation is typically performed by instrumentation technicians or industrial piping trades familiar with fluoropolymer compression fittings. Shut off and depressurize the fluid circuit before servicing any fitting. Avoid overtightening the compression nut, as PFA and PTFE components are softer than metal and can deform under excessive torque. Verify tube squareness and cut quality before insertion to ensure a leak-free seal.
