The PARKER GAFS-66 is a compression-style female straight adapter designed for 3/8 inch tube outside diameter connections. It is constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), two high-performance fluoropolymer materials known for broad chemical resistance and suitability in high-purity fluid handling applications. The adapter features a plastic grip type and uses a compression fitting design that creates a secure, leak-resistant seal without soldering or threading the tube. It is well suited for plumbing, chemical processing, and instrumentation tubing systems where metal fittings are not appropriate due to corrosion or contamination concerns.
This fitting is used in applications requiring chemically inert fluid connections, including laboratory systems, semiconductor process lines, chemical distribution, and general industrial tubing runs. The PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate where aggressive chemicals, ultrapure water, or high-purity gas lines are present. Plumbers, pipefitters, and instrumentation technicians are the primary installers in both light commercial and industrial settings.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for 3/8 inch OD tubing systems using PFA or PTFE tubing in chemical, instrumentation, or high-purity fluid handling applications.
Installation is typically performed by plumbers or instrumentation technicians. Ensure all system pressure is relieved and flow is shut off before installing or replacing compression fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then use an appropriate wrench for final snugging — avoid overtightening plastic compression components, as this can crack the body or distort the ferrule. Follow applicable IPC or system-specific plumbing codes for high-purity or chemical service lines.
