The PARKER FP718-5 is a pleated, resin-bonded cellulose cartridge filter designed for liquid filtration in plumbing and water treatment systems. It provides 5-micron filtration efficiency, capturing fine particulate from supply lines, process water, and point-of-entry filtration setups. The cartridge measures 18 inches in length with a 6.25-inch outside diameter, fitting standard large-capacity filter housings. Rated to a maximum working temperature of 250 degrees F, it suits both cold- and hot-water applications. Installation is handled by licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians in residential, commercial, and light industrial environments.
This filter cartridge is suited for sediment removal in municipal water systems, well water supply lines, and process fluid applications where fine particulate control is required. The pleated construction increases surface area compared to wound cartridges, extending service intervals in moderate-sediment environments. Its resin cellulose media supports use in higher-temperature service lines up to 250 degrees F, making it appropriate for hot-water plumbing as well as ambient-temperature distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for large-format residential and commercial plumbing filtration housings accepting 18-inch by 6.25-inch outside diameter pleated cartridges.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified water treatment technician. Shut off the water supply and relieve all system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing o-ring for wear or damage and replace if needed before seating the new cartridge. Follow local IPC and applicable plumbing code requirements for filter installation and housing torque procedures.
