The PARKER FEC-6 is a compression tube union designed to join two lengths of tubing in a straight-through configuration without the use of metallic components. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials, this fitting delivers strong chemical resistance and low friction in demanding fluid-handling systems. The plastic grip-type compression mechanism creates a secure, leak-resistant seal on 3/8-inch OD tubing. It is well suited for chemical process lines, laboratory plumbing, semiconductor fabrication, and high-purity fluid transfer applications where metal fittings are not acceptable. Plumbers, pipefitters, and process technicians are the typical installers.
This union fitting is used in systems where corrosive media, ultrapure fluids, or aggressive chemicals require non-metallic wetted surfaces. Typical applications include chemical dosing lines, analytical instrument tubing, cleanroom process piping, and industrial fluid handling where PFA and PTFE compatibility is a specification requirement. It accepts 3/8-inch OD tubing on both ends and is suitable for both residential laboratory setups and commercial or industrial process environments.
Designed as an OEM-style compression union for systems using 3/8-inch OD flexible or semi-rigid tubing in chemical process, laboratory, or high-purity fluid transfer piping.
Installation is performed by plumbers, pipefitters, or process technicians familiar with compression-style plastic fittings. Depressurize and drain the line completely before disassembly or fitting installation. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then apply only the minimal additional turns needed to seat the ferrule — over-tightening plastic compression fittings can crack the body or damage the tubing. Verify compatibility of the tubing material with the process fluid before placing the line in service.
