The PARKER FBMT-442 is a compression tube male branch tee fitting designed for fluid and gas line branching applications. It accepts a 1/4 inch tube outside diameter and uses a plastic grip compression mechanism to create a secure, leak-resistant connection without the need for soldering or flaring. The fitting body is constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), both of which offer excellent chemical resistance and are well suited for aggressive media, high-purity systems, and applications where contamination must be avoided. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and instrumentation specialists working with tubing runs that require a branch takeoff will find this fitting appropriate for their configurations.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial installations where a main tubing line must be branched to a male-threaded port or secondary line. Typical applications include instrument sensing lines, chemical feed systems, refrigeration tubing, and any fluid handling system requiring corrosion-resistant, high-purity fittings. The male branch configuration allows the tee to connect into a female-threaded port on a valve, manifold, or equipment body while maintaining the inline tube run on both remaining ports. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of one.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4 inch OD plastic or semi-rigid tubing in fluid handling, chemical, or instrumentation systems where PFA or PTFE wetted materials are specified.
Installation is performed by plumbers or instrumentation technicians following applicable plumbing and process piping codes. Shut off all fluid or gas supply and depressurize the line fully before disassembling or installing compression fittings. Insert the tube fully into the fitting body before tightening the compression nut to ensure the ferrule seats correctly and a proper seal is formed. Do not overtighten plastic compression fittings, as excessive force can crack the fitting body or distort the ferrule.
