The PARKER FB8TCB8 is a push-to-connect tube-to-barb connector designed for fluid and pneumatic line connections in industrial and mechanical systems. Constructed from Kynar (PVDF), it delivers strong chemical resistance and handles pressures up to 250 psi. The fitting connects a 1/2-inch OD tube on the push-to-connect end to a 1/2-inch ID barb on the outlet side. An FKM o-ring provides a reliable seal across a range of fluid media. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial pipe fitters install this type of fitting when routing tubing through chemical-resistant or high-purity systems.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial fluid-handling applications where Kynar construction is specified for chemical compatibility. It is commonly installed in water treatment equipment, chemical feed lines, and HVAC condensate or process piping where standard brass or acetal fittings are not appropriate. The push-to-connect design allows for fast, tool-free tube insertion while the barb end secures to flexible tubing for a leak-resistant transition between rigid and flexible line segments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect tube-to-barb fitting for use with 1/2-inch OD rigid tubing and 1/2-inch ID flexible tubing in Kynar-compatible fluid-handling systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified HVAC and industrial technicians. Shut off all system pressure and depressurize the line before inserting or removing the fitting. Ensure the tubing end is cut square and deburred before pushing into the connect end to avoid compromising the o-ring seal. Consult applicable plumbing codes, including IPC guidelines, for approved fitting use in pressurized fluid systems.
