The PARKER FB4ME6-HBLK is a push-to-connect male elbow tube fitting designed for quick, tool-free connections in pneumatic and fluid handling systems. Constructed from Kynar (PVDF) with an FKM o-ring, it handles pressures up to 250 psi and a vacuum rating of 28 in-Hg. The black fitting accepts 1/4 inch OD tubing on the push-to-connect end and threads onto 3/8 inch NPTF male ports. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting where a directional 90-degree connection is needed without soldering or compression tooling.
This fitting suits residential and light commercial applications including instrumentation lines, pneumatic control tubing, chemical transfer, and HVAC sensor or control circuit plumbing. The Kynar material provides strong resistance to acids, solvents, and UV exposure, making it a practical choice for corrosive or outdoor environments. The NPTF thread form creates a pressure-tight mechanical seal without relying solely on sealant tape, though thread sealant is commonly applied per job requirements.
Designed for use with 1/4 inch OD tubing in push-to-connect pneumatic and fluid systems using 3/8 inch NPTF threaded ports.
Shut off system pressure and bleed the line before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Hand-thread the NPTF male end into the port until snug, then tighten with an appropriately sized wrench — avoid overtightening, which can crack the Kynar body. Insert tubing fully until it seats against the internal collet, then pull back lightly to confirm the collet has locked. To release tubing, depress the collet ring before pulling the tube free.
