The PARKER FAMS-62 is a compression-style male straight adapter designed to connect 3/8-inch OD tubing to a male threaded port in fluid-handling systems. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials, this fitting delivers excellent chemical resistance and low-friction fluid contact surfaces suited for aggressive media. The plastic grip type allows for secure, tool-assisted tightening without metal-on-plastic galling. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and chemical process professionals typically install this fitting in systems where corrosion resistance and purity are critical requirements.
This adapter is well suited for use in laboratory, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and industrial fluid-handling applications where metal fittings are incompatible with the process media. The PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate for high-purity or chemically aggressive environments. It is sold individually and is a direct-use component in compression tube assemblies requiring a straight male transition point.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 3/8-inch OD tubing in PFA or PTFE fluid-handling assemblies where a male straight adapter configuration is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or instrumentation technician familiar with compression fittings and fluoropolymer components. Shut off system pressure and depressurize all lines before disassembly or installation. Do not overtighten — fluoropolymer fittings are subject to thread deformation under excessive torque. Follow applicable system and facility codes for chemical process or high-purity fluid installations.
