The PARKER FAMS-616 is a compression tube male straight adapter designed for use in fluid and gas transfer systems requiring high-purity, chemically resistant connections. Built from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) materials, this fitting provides excellent resistance to corrosive chemicals, high temperatures, and aggressive media. It accepts a 3/8 inch tube outside diameter and features a plastic grip-style compression mechanism for secure, leak-free assembly without specialized tooling. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial piping professionals install this type of fitting in systems where metal fittings are incompatible with the process fluid.
This adapter is suited for high-purity chemical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and laboratory fluid handling applications where contamination control and chemical compatibility are critical. The male straight configuration allows direct inline connections between tubing runs and threaded ports or components. Its PFA and PTFE construction makes it appropriate for aggressive acids, bases, and solvents that would degrade standard metal or nylon compression fittings. It is sold and packaged individually.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 3/8 inch OD tubing in chemical, high-purity fluid, and gas transfer systems requiring PFA or PTFE-compatible components.
Installation should be performed by a qualified plumber or piping technician familiar with compression-style plastic fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any fittings. Avoid over-tightening plastic compression nuts, as excess torque can crack PFA and PTFE components. Verify thread type and pitch on the mating port before installation to ensure a proper seal.
