The PARKER FAME-66 is a compression tube female adapter elbow designed for high-purity fluid handling applications. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), this fitting accepts 3/8 inch tube outside diameter and provides a leak-resistant connection between tubing and a female-threaded port. The plastic grip-style compression mechanism allows secure tube retention without metal tooling. At 0.05 pounds, the fitting is lightweight and suited for environments where chemical resistance and cleanliness are critical factors. It is typically installed by plumbers, process technicians, or HVAC-R service professionals working with chemically aggressive or ultra-pure media systems.
This fitting is commonly used in laboratory, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and chemical process piping where fluoropolymer materials are required to resist corrosive fluids and maintain purity. The elbow configuration allows directional changes in tubing runs where space constraints or panel-mount connections require a 90-degree transition. Installation is performed by plumbers or process piping technicians familiar with compression-style fluoropolymer fittings. Shut off all fluid supply and depressurize the line before servicing any fitting in the assembly. Insert tubing fully to the tube stop before tightening the compression nut — do not overtighten, as PFA and PTFE fittings are susceptible to thread damage from excess torque. Verify fitting selection against system pressure and temperature ratings before placing the assembly into service.
