The PARKER FAME-44 is a compression tube female adapter elbow designed for fluid and gas line connections in demanding process, laboratory, and industrial plumbing applications. This fitting accepts a 1/4 inch tube OD on the compression side and transitions to a female pipe thread on the opposite end. The body is constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), materials known for broad chemical resistance and performance across a wide temperature range. The plastic grip type allows hand-tightening during initial assembly. Licensed plumbers, process technicians, and instrumentation specialists are the typical installers.
This female adapter elbow is suited for high-purity fluid handling, chemical process lines, and instrumentation tubing runs where metal fittings are not compatible with the media being conveyed. The 90-degree elbow configuration is useful in tight routing situations where a straight adapter cannot achieve the required directional change. It is commonly found in laboratory systems, semiconductor process equipment, chemical distribution lines, and HVAC instrumentation tubing.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/4 inch OD plastic or semi-rigid tubing in process and instrumentation plumbing systems.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or instrumentation technicians following applicable process piping codes. Shut off all line pressure and purge the system before disconnecting or installing compression fittings. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then apply only the additional turns required to seat the ferrule — over-tightening plastic compression fittings can crack the body or distort the ferrule. Verify tube end squareness and cleanliness before makeup to ensure a leak-free seal.
