The PARKER FAFS-64 is a compression tube female straight adapter designed for use in fluid handling and instrumentation tubing systems. This fitting accepts a 3/8-inch tube OD and creates a secure, leak-resistant connection using a compression-style grip mechanism with plastic grip components. The body and wetted surfaces are constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), two high-purity fluoropolymer materials that offer exceptional chemical resistance and are suitable for aggressive media. This adapter is installed by plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and industrial service professionals working with chemically sensitive or high-purity fluid lines.
The FAFS-64 is suited for residential and commercial applications where corrosive chemicals, ultra-pure fluids, or aggressive process media are conveyed through tubing systems. Typical install scenarios include laboratory fluid distribution, semiconductor processing lines, chemical dosing systems, and other instrumentation or process piping applications that require chemically inert fittings. The female straight configuration allows direct connection to a threaded port or female-threaded fitting at one end and accepts the compression tube at the other.

Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers or instrumentation technicians familiar with compression fitting assembly. Before installation, depressurize and isolate the tubing line and ensure the tube end is cut cleanly and squarely with no burrs. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then apply a controlled quarter-to-half turn with a wrench — do not overtighten PFA or PTFE fittings, as fluoropolymer threads and bodies can deform under excessive torque. Verify the connection is leak-free before returning the system to service.
