The PARKER FAFS-62 is a compression tube female straight adapter designed for connecting 3/8-inch OD tubing to female-threaded fittings in fluid and gas handling systems. Constructed from Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) and Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), this adapter offers excellent chemical resistance and low friction properties suited for high-purity and corrosive-media applications. The plastic grip-type compression mechanism provides a secure, leak-resistant seal without the need for solder or adhesives. Plumbers, instrumentation technicians, and process piping specialists install this type of fitting in laboratory, chemical processing, and industrial fluid transfer lines where metal fittings are not compatible with the media.
This adapter is suited for use in systems that handle aggressive chemicals, ultrapure water, or other media requiring fluoropolymer wetted surfaces. Installation is performed by instrumentation technicians or licensed plumbers working on chemical or high-purity fluid systems. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any compression fitting. Hand-tighten the compression nut first, then use an appropriate wrench for final tightening per system pressure requirements. Avoid overtightening PFA and PTFE fittings, as fluoropolymer threads and ferrules can deform under excessive torque.
