The PARKER E23R30A is a string-wound cartridge filter designed for plumbing and industrial liquid filtration applications. Built with a rayon winding over a polypropylene plastic core, it delivers 5 micron filtration to remove sediment, particulate, and debris from water and compatible fluid systems. The filter measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 30 inches in length, making it suitable for standard big-blue and commercial-grade filter housings. All wetted materials meet FDA material grade requirements, supporting use in potable water and food-adjacent applications. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers.
The E23R30A is suited for residential whole-house filtration systems, light commercial water treatment installations, and point-of-entry plumbing setups that require sediment reduction at a 5 micron threshold. The 30 inch length fits commercial-style filter housings commonly found in multi-unit buildings, irrigation pre-filtration, and process water conditioning. Maximum working temperature is rated at 120 degrees F, which limits its use to cold and warm water lines rather than high-temperature service.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install cartridge filter for commercial and residential plumbing filter housings that accept a 2.5 inch OD by 30 inch string-wound cartridge.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the supply water and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing to replace the cartridge. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear and replace it if damaged before reinstalling the sump. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature of 120 degrees F or the manufacturer-specified pressure rating for the housing in use.
