The PARKER DBC5M10 is a thermal-bonded polyolefin cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. It measures 10 inches in length with a 2.5-inch outside diameter, fitting standard housings used across residential and light commercial water treatment systems. The 5-micron rating captures sediment, particulate, and suspended solids before they reach downstream equipment or fixtures. Constructed from FDA-grade polyolefin, it is suitable for potable water service and rated to a maximum working temperature of 175 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers of this cartridge.
This filter is suited for point-of-entry and point-of-use water filtration systems, including whole-house sediment pre-filtration, commercial water treatment trains, and in-line protection for plumbing fixtures and equipment. The thermal bonding process produces a consistent fiber matrix throughout the cartridge, which helps maintain rated filtration performance across the service life of the element. It is commonly installed upstream of softeners, reverse osmosis systems, and other sensitive treatment equipment where sediment control is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard 10-inch cartridge filter housings accepting a 2.5-inch outside diameter sediment element in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect housing O-rings and seating surfaces before installing the new cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature or pressure specifications for the housing assembly in use.
