The PARKER DBC50M20 is a thermal-bonded polyolefin cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. Rated at 50 microns, it captures sediment, particulate, and suspended solids from water lines before they reach downstream equipment or fixtures. The cartridge measures 2.5 inches outside diameter and 20 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings common in commercial and residential plumbing systems. Constructed from FDA-grade polyolefin, it is suitable for potable water and food-service-adjacent applications. Maximum working temperature is 175 degrees F. Plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers.
This filter cartridge is used in whole-house sediment filtration, light commercial water treatment skids, pre-filtration ahead of membranes or softeners, and point-of-entry plumbing systems. The 50-micron rating makes it appropriate for first-stage coarse filtration where high sediment loads are present. The thermal-bonded construction holds fiber integrity under sustained flow without media migration. FDA-grade material makes it suitable for systems handling potable water or process water in food-related environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5-inch outside diameter, 20-inch plumbing filter housings used in residential and light commercial water treatment systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified water treatment technicians. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure fully before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear and replace if necessary before seating the new cartridge. Follow local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC requirements, for potable water system serviceability and material approvals.
