The PARKER DBC1M20 is a thermal bonded polyolefin cartridge filter designed for plumbing and water filtration applications. Rated at 1 micron, it removes fine particulate contamination from water lines, protecting downstream equipment and maintaining flow quality. The cartridge measures 2.5 inches in outside diameter and 20 inches in length, fitting standard filter housings used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The polyolefin construction carries an FDA material grade rating, making it suitable for potable water and food-service-adjacent applications. Maximum working temperature is 175 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water treatment technicians are the primary installers.
This filter is applied in plumbing systems where fine sediment, rust particles, and other sub-micron suspended solids must be removed before water reaches fixtures, appliances, or process equipment. The 1 micron rating makes it appropriate for applications requiring tight filtration downstream of coarser pre-filters. Its thermal bonded construction resists fiber migration, which is important in systems where downstream contamination from the filter medium itself is a concern. Typical installations include whole-house filtration assemblies, point-of-entry systems, and commercial water treatment setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement cartridge for standard 2.5 inch OD, 20 inch plumbing filter housings used in residential and commercial water filtration systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber following local plumbing codes and the filter housing manufacturer instructions. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before opening the filter housing. Inspect the housing O-ring for wear or damage and replace it if needed before seating the new cartridge. Do not exceed the rated maximum working temperature or pressure limits specified by the housing manufacturer.
