The PARKER BH8-61 is a straight female pipe rigid nipple fitting designed for hydraulic and fluid-transfer applications. Built from brass with a National Pipe Taper Fuel (NPTF) threaded connection, this Series 60 fitting handles a maximum working pressure of 1,500 psi and a temperature range of -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F. The fitting measures 2.91 inches in overall length with a 1-inch body diameter and 1-inch thread size. It is installed by hydraulic technicians and pipefitters working on mobile equipment, industrial hydraulic lines, and fluid-handling systems where a leak-free threaded connection is required.
This fitting is suited for a wide range of fluid and gas service environments. Typical applications include food and chemical processing lines, industrial hydraulic circuits, mobile equipment plumbing, water and coolant lines, and compressed gas distribution. The NPTF thread form creates a pressure-tight seal through thread-on-thread contact, reducing reliance on sealant tape in many service conditions. The straight geometry makes it a direct inline connector between hose ends and pipe ports in tight or standard routing layouts.

Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or pipefitter. Depressurize and isolate the hydraulic or fluid circuit completely before removing or installing any fittings. NPTF threads are designed for pressure-tight engagement without sealant, but consult system specifications and applicable standards before omitting thread sealant. Inspect threads for damage before installation and do not overtighten, as brass fittings are susceptible to thread deformation under excessive torque.
