The PARKER BD-PF-00097 is a brass 90-degree street elbow fitting designed for threaded pipe connections in plumbing, HVAC, and fluid distribution systems. It features a female NPT (FNPT) inlet on one end and a male NPT (MNPT) outlet on the other, allowing a direction change in a run of pipe without requiring a separate coupling. The fitting is rated to 1,000 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures up to 250 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of fitting during rough-in and service work on compressed air, water, and fuel-gas lines where a compact 90-degree turn is required.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial applications where space is limited and a standard two-piece elbow-plus-nipple assembly is impractical. The FNPT x MNPT configuration allows it to thread directly into a female port on valves, tees, or other fittings, eliminating an additional nipple and reducing overall assembly length. Typical installations include natural gas appliance connections, potable water distribution, compressed air headers, and hydronic heating lines. This SKU ships in packages of 5 units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use threaded street elbow for 3/8-inch female NPT to 1/2-inch male NPT connections in standard pipe systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local codes, IPC, and IFGC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line before disassembling any fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten brass fittings; follow standard hand-tight-plus-turns practice to avoid cracking the fitting body.
