The PARKER BD-MV608-4-1 is a miniature manual ball valve designed for inline flow control in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial fluid systems. It features a 1/4 inch male x female pipe end connection with a wedge-style handle for quick quarter-turn shutoff. The valve body is constructed from brass with a reinforced Teflon seat, rated for a maximum working pressure of 450 psi and a temperature range of 0 degrees F to 200 degrees F. Its compact form factor makes it well suited for installations where space is constrained and reliable manual isolation is required. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
This valve is commonly used in residential and light commercial applications where a compact inline shutoff is needed on 1/4 inch pipe runs. Typical scenarios include water lines, refrigerant-adjacent tubing manifolds, compressed air circuits, and instrumentation branch lines. The male x female configuration allows it to be inserted directly into an existing pipe run without additional fittings. Its Cv rating of 5.8 supports adequate flow through small-diameter lines without significant pressure drop.
Designed as an OEM-style inline shutoff for 1/4 inch pipe applications in plumbing, HVAC, and light industrial systems where a male x female brass ball valve is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements. Shut off system pressure and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing the valve. Use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the male threads and tighten to fitting manufacturer recommendations using an adjustable wrench. Verify for leaks at operating pressure before returning the system to service.
