The PARKER BD-24 CTX-S-1 is a steel 90-degree flared tube elbow fitting designed for high-pressure hydraulic and fluid power plumbing. It connects a 37-degree flared tube end to a National Pipe Thread Fuel (NPTF) port, allowing a direction change in tubing runs without the need for bending. Rated to 2,500 psi maximum working pressure and up to 500 degrees F, this fitting suits demanding service environments including hydraulic systems, fuel lines, and compressed-fluid circuits. It is installed by pipefitters, hydraulic technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals working to SAE and ISO specifications.
This elbow is suited for industrial, mobile, and stationary hydraulic plumbing applications where a 90-degree change of direction is required at a threaded port. The 37-degree flare end mates with standard SAE 37-degree flared tube assemblies per SAE J514, while the NPTF male thread seals directly into a dry-seal female port without a separate sealant when properly torqued. Typical installations include machine tool hydraulics, off-highway equipment, and fluid power manifold connections requiring a 1-1/2-inch OD tube interface.
Designed for use with 1-1/2-inch OD SAE 37-degree flared tube assemblies and 1-1/2-11-1/2 NPTF threaded ports. Conforms to ISO 8434-2, SAE J514, and SAE 070202, making it compatible with systems and components built to those standards.
Installation should be performed by a qualified pipefitter or hydraulic technician. De-pressurize and drain the system completely before removing or installing any fitting. NPTF threads are designed to seal on the thread form itself; inspect threads for damage before assembly and apply thread sealant only if required by system specifications or the original equipment manufacturer. Do not over-torque the flare nut, as deformation of the 37-degree flare seat will cause leaks.
