The PARKER BD-20 FNTX-S-1 is a steel flared tube cap designed to terminate or seal a 1-1/4 inch OD flared tube end in hydraulic, pneumatic, or fluid power systems. The cap features a 37-degree flare angle conforming to SAE J514 and ISO 8434-2 standards, providing a leak-resistant metal-to-metal seal without the need for additional sealing compounds. Rated to 4000 psi maximum working pressure and a maximum working temperature of 500 degrees F, this cap is suited for demanding industrial and mobile equipment applications. Licensed plumbers, hydraulic technicians, and industrial pipefitters install this fitting to cap off active or inactive flared tube lines.
This cap is used in hydraulic lines, fuel systems, refrigeration tubing, and other high-pressure fluid circuits where a JIC 37-degree flare connection is present. It is appropriate for both stationary industrial equipment and mobile hydraulic systems requiring a reliable, reusable tube-end closure. The 1-1/4 inch tube OD sizing is common in medium- to large-bore hydraulic and process piping assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service cap for hydraulic and fluid power tube assemblies using 1-1/4 inch OD tubing with a 37-degree JIC flare end connection.
Installation should be performed by a qualified hydraulic technician or licensed pipefitter familiar with JIC flare fittings. Depressurize and fully isolate the fluid circuit before removing or installing any tube cap. Inspect the flare seat for scoring or deformation before seating the cap, as metal-to-metal flare joints require a clean mating surface to seal properly. Follow applicable IFGC, IPC, or equipment OEM torque and assembly guidelines for the fitting size.
