The PARKER AVUS3BH-4 is a bulkhead solder union access valve designed for refrigeration systems requiring a secure, leak-free service port through a panel or bulkhead wall. Rated to 500 psi maximum working pressure, this valve accepts 1/4-inch tube OD connections and is constructed from brass for reliable corrosion resistance in refrigerant service environments. The bulkhead union design allows the valve to be installed through a partition while maintaining a soldered connection on both sides, giving HVAC-R technicians a clean, permanent access point for system charging, recovery, and pressure testing.
This access valve is suited for commercial and residential refrigeration equipment where a fixed, through-panel service port is required. Typical applications include reach-in coolers, refrigerated display cases, condensing unit enclosures, and other sealed refrigerant circuit assemblies where technicians need repeatable, tool-accessible service ports without compromising the enclosure. Use standard refrigeration solder and flux appropriate for copper-to-brass joints, and ensure the bulkhead panel cutout and fitting clearance match the valve body dimensions before sweating connections. Do not overtighten the valve core or apply excessive heat to the brass body during soldering.
