The PARKER AVUS-43 is a straight solder connector access valve designed for refrigeration service applications. Built from brass, it provides a reliable service port on refrigerant lines, allowing technicians to connect gauges, charge systems, or recover refrigerant without cutting into the line. Rated to 500 psi maximum, it is suited for use with common refrigerants found in residential and light commercial HVAC-R systems. The 3/16 inch tube outside diameter connection is sized for small-diameter copper tubing commonly found in split systems and refrigeration equipment. HVAC-R technicians install this valve during commissioning or service calls where a permanent access point is needed.
This access valve is used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems where a solder-in service port is required on small-bore copper refrigerant tubing. Its straight connector orientation suits inline installations where there is sufficient clearance along the tubing run. The compact brass body keeps the installed footprint small, making it practical in tight equipment cabinets and condensing unit panels.
Designed as an OEM-style solder-in access valve for refrigeration and air conditioning systems using 3/16 inch outside diameter copper refrigerant tubing rated within the 500 psi service pressure range.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC-R technicians in accordance with applicable refrigerant handling regulations and local mechanical codes. Recover all system refrigerant and relieve system pressure before soldering the valve into the refrigerant line. Use proper brazing or soldering techniques appropriate for refrigerant-grade copper tubing, and allow the joint to cool fully before recharging the system. Verify the valve core and cap are properly seated before returning the system to service.
