The PARKER AVTS-4 is a brass solder tee access valve designed for refrigeration systems requiring secure, leak-free service ports. Rated to 500 psi maximum working pressure, it accommodates a 1/4 inch tube outside diameter and is installed by soldering directly into refrigerant line sets. HVAC and refrigeration technicians use this valve to add a service port to an existing line without cutting and rerouting tubing. The all-brass construction resists corrosion and handles the pressure and temperature demands typical of common refrigerants. It ships as a single unit and is a standard component in both service and new-installation work.
This access valve is suited for residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. It is installed in refrigerant suction or liquid lines where a permanent, brazeable service port is needed. Technicians use it when adding a Schrader-style access point to a line that was not originally equipped with one, or when replacing a failed access fitting. The solder tee configuration allows it to be integrated mid-line without disrupting the existing piping layout.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or addition for residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning line sets using 1/4 inch outside diameter copper tubing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician. Recover all refrigerant from the system before brazing and allow the line to cool completely before introducing any pressure. Use appropriate flux and brazing alloy for copper-to-brass joints per industry standards. Ensure the valve core and any caps are protected from heat during the brazing process to prevent seat damage.
