The PARKER A8TMC8 is a push-to-connect tube stem adapter designed to create a fast, tool-free connection between a tube and a threaded port. Made from polyoxymethylene (POM), this fitting handles up to 250 psi and is suited for pneumatic and low-pressure fluid systems. The 1/2 inch OD tube inlet accepts tubing with a push-in action, while the 1/2 inch NPTF male thread provides a pressure-tight mechanical seal at the port end. Tan coloring is consistent with standard POM push-to-connect fittings in this series. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install these fittings in control line, instrument air, and fluid transfer applications.
This adapter is used in residential and light commercial systems where quick tube termination to a threaded port is required. Typical applications include pneumatic control lines, instrument air supply, and water or fluid distribution plumbing. The NPTF thread form creates a dry-seal connection that does not rely solely on tape or sealant for pressure retention, making it appropriate for clean air and compatible fluid service. The POM construction resists moisture and many common chemicals encountered in HVAC and plumbing environments.
Designed as an OEM-style push-to-connect fitting for 1/2 inch OD tubing systems with 1/2 inch NPTF threaded ports in pneumatic control, instrument air, and compatible fluid plumbing applications.
Shut off system pressure and verify a zero-pressure condition before removing or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure tube ends are cut square, deburred, and free of score marks before insertion, as irregular tube ends are a primary cause of seal failure. NPTF threads are designed to seal mechanically, but applying a compatible thread sealant is acceptable practice per applicable plumbing and pneumatic codes. To release the tube, depress the collet ring evenly while withdrawing the tube in a straight line.
